Annual Back to School 5K hosted by The Next Level and Hoop For All Foundation's will take place on Saturday, August 12, 2017, in Georgetown at the Alexandria Aqueduct.
Registration begins: 7:30 AM
Kid's Race Start: 8:25 AM
Race Start: 8:30 AM
Packet Pickup: You can pick up your packet either before the race or at Fleet Feet, 1841 Columbia Rd NW from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2017.
The Next Level Foundation
Fosters a commitment to youth that promotes a "Getting Set for Success Curriculum" focused on education, athletics, self-esteem/ motivation, community service, and control theory.
Hoop For All Foundation
Increases the awareness of health sicknesses, illnesses, and diseases by organizing charitable community basketball based events serving to educate and foster athletic competition.
Equity in education and opportunity for student athletes.
About the Back to School 5K
The Annual Back to School 5K hosted by The Next Level and Hoop for All Foundations will take place on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at the Georgetown Aqueduct.
Approximately 250 attendees will be present including 50 students who are sponsored to participate by companies dedicated to their development.
3rd -6th grade youth participants will work with the Next Level and Hoop for All for five weeks this summer to focus on financial literacy, character development, and athletic enrichment. On August 12th, The Back to School 5k will culminate the completion of the summer program, kicking off a successful academic year!
The purpose of the Back to School 5K is to prepare young people for the school year, so they foster healthy habits and mindsets necessary to prepare for college and beyond.
