The Sibley County Royalty scholarship program provides educational scholarships and opportunities to promote and celebrate Sibley County with poise and grace. Each year the young women participate in community events throughout the region at parades, community festivals, and volunteering to enrich the lives of the young ladies by teaching business/life skills and promoting the value of higher education, personal and professional growth.

This year we are doing something a little different. We will be hosting a 5K Glow Run with 50% of all money raised being put towards purchasing Duffel Bags, stuffed animals, & Toiletries for the children in Sibley County that are being placed into our Foster Care System. It is very common to have children pulled from the home they know, placed with total strangers all while their belongings are being carried around in a garbage bags. For those who go back home there are many cases they are sent back home again with their belongings in a garbage bag. It’s hard for these kids to know they are worth anything with all their belongings being moved around in garbage bags. Our program wants to help these kids with the comfort of their own blanket they can take with them where ever life may take them in their own duffel bag.
