IMPORTANT NOTICE
Due to the current situation regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we've unfortunately had to cancel this year's event.
On Wednesday May 27, 2020, over 400 third through sixth grade students from the Lancaster School District will compete in the 9th Annual William Street School Triathlon!
STAGE 1: SWIM
The first stage of the race begins at 6:00pm in the William Street School pool. Students will be issued their official wave start time at registration and must be present at the pool when it's their turn to start. Third and fourth graders will swim 30 yards and 5th and 6th graders will swim 60 yards.
STAGE 2: BIKE
Upon completion of the swim, students will transition to the second stage of the race. Stage two is a 1-mile bike ride that takes place through the William Street School parking lots. Bikes will be positioned ahead of time in the designated staging area for use during the race.
STAGE 3: RUN
Finally, after completing the 1-mile bike ride, students will complete a 1/2 mile cross country run (on the grass) before crossing the finish line and celebrating their accomplishment with family and friends!

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
This is a private event open only to 3rd - 6th grade students in the Lancaster School District (with parent permission). Participating students must return a completed permission slip to their building's PE teacher by May 7th. Check-in will take place starting at 4:45pm and all athletes MUST BE CHECKED IN BY 5:35pm.
All athletes:
>will be provided a swim cap and must wear it in the water
>must wear a helmet and sneakers on the bike course
>must be accompanied by a parent/guardian
>will receive a medal for participation

POST RACE CELEBRATION
Join us after the race for a post race celebration including light food/snacks, beverages, music, and fun with family and friends!
PARKING
There will be plenty of free parking at William Street School. No cars will be allowed to leave until the course is clear of participants.
AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
All athletes (3rd through 6th grade) will be awarded an official finisher medal upon completion of the race!

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Gun start/chip finish timing services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
