Race for Nate 5K and Fun Run CANCELED DUE TO COVID-19!

“Camp Nate was started for families who have suffered the loss of a child to cancer.  Nate Oxford, the camp’s namesake, was a six-year-old boy from Rockwall who bravely fought brain cancer for four years.   After Nate passed away, we realized the need for families to rebuild after suffering such a terrible loss.  We felt that Camp Nate would be the perfect place for families to find hope after loss and to rebuild families who have suffered so greatly. Camp Nate is held at Trail West in Buena Vista, Colorado. It is a Young Life family camp. Families experience joy and laughter as well as connecting with other families who are walking a similar path. Families will hike, swim, river raft, and go on trial rides just to name a few of the experience they have at Camp Nate. Often times siblings feel forgotten after such terrible loss. Camp Nate is a place to make new memories and find joy while remembering their brother or sister in a beautiful way.”
