3 Day Summer Basketball Camp - Sophie Brunner is hosting 3 sessions: Boys & Girls entering grades 3 - 5 (8:30 - 10:00), Girls entering grades 6 - 8 (10:30 - 12:00), and Girls entering grades 9-12 (1:00 - 3:00). Cost for students entering grades 3-8 is $50 and cost for students entering grades 9-12 is $65.
Sophie Brunner is hosting 2 basketball camps this summer for local basketball players entering grades 3 – 12. The two camp locations will be at Eastland High School (June 27 – 29) and Stockton High School (July 9 – 11). The campers will be broken up into 3 groups: Boys and Girls entering grades 3 – 5 (8:30 – 10:00), Girls entering grades 6 – 8 (10:30 – 12:00), and Girls entering grades 9 – 12 (1:00 – 3:00). Campers will receive a T-Shirt, snacks, an autographed picture of Sophie, a picture with Sophie, and other memorabilia, prizes, and awards! Cost for the camp is $50 per camper grades 3 – 8 and $65 for campers in grades 9 – 12.
In her time at Aquin High School, Sophie led the Bulldogs to back-to-back State Titles in 2012 and 2013. After setting multiple school and Illinois State records, Sophie continued her career at Arizona State University, where she continued to etch her name in the record books. Sophie finished her 4-year career at ASU as the 3rd leading scorer and 2nd leading rebounder in school history, while accumulating many national awards and recognitions along the way, including being named as a representative on the USA team at the 2016 Junior Nationals in Toronto. After graduating from ASU, Sophie transitioned to her professional career, signing to play with the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury. Last fall, Sophie continued her professional career in Italy, where she was named the team’s MVP while recording 12 points per game and 10 rebounds per game.
