Greensboro Opera House will be holding the Encore 5k Run and 1k Fun Walk on May 19th at 9 am at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. This is a great opportunity for some exercise and be a part of a worthy fundraiser! There will be categories for men and women of all ages so bring the whole family! The 5K course is certified and Tuscaloosa Track Club will be present to tabulate 5k runners’ times at the finish line. Awards for the 5k will be given out after the race. (No duplication of awards.) If a 5K is a little too much for you, you can enter the 1k Fun Walk! The “1k Crew” will be at that finish line to welcome you and give you a cool drink! Cost of entry for 5k race or 1k walk is $25 and each racer entered for the 5k Run or 1K Walk will get an Encore 5K tote! Each entry fee will go directly to help purchasing additional chairs for Greensboro Opera House.
